Volumetric Surveys
Drone Company in Vancouver Island
Whether you are mining a quarry or stock piling coal and aggregate, drones can reduce the costs and increase the accuracy of the data, while delivering higher quality results faster, than conventional methods.
Drones capture multiple images from a programmed flight path , which are then stitched together through by software in a process called photogammetry to create very accurate 3D maps and models. The exact same flight path can be flown repeatedly over time, to measure the volume of material either removed from a quarry or piled on land, to an accuracy of 1-3% actual volume.
Our drones and flight paths are set to capture the images as clearly as possible, to ensure the most accurate maps rendered. We strive to do the job right the first time, and review the images on site to make sure they are clear and that enough were captured to build the 3D model and map needed for the mapping software to produce the results needed.
We work with you before hand to get a clear understanding of what the objectives are and then determine the best and safest method to achieve the results you desire.
